Day 5 - Choppy waters
We failed to bring much up on our first dredge today… just a lot of clay that was fun to play with, but utterly useless to date or find fossils in. So instead we busied ourselves with double checking (a.k.a. “Quality Control”) dredge logs.
A little rougher on the waters today with swells reaching 3 metres.
The team’s seasickness should be kept at bay so long as the 6 metre swell off the coast of Sydney doesn’t reach us.
This is related to the massive cold front delivering snow to elevated areas along the eastern highlands.
Still a lovely day outside. Tomorrow will be a busy day and a 2am start for me (!!) Goodnight.
